Press Release: June 13, 2019.

MERGE4 is proud to announce their partnership with Dew Tour and the creation of a vibrant, high-quality branded sock for the world-renowned skateboard competition and festival’s 2019 event.

The 2019 Dew Tour sock features the event’s official graphic embodying skateboard culture on a classic crew sock. Made with combed cotton and MERGE4’s ‘cult-weave’ technology, the performance-oriented sock features elastic arch support, moisture-wicking fabric, a terry looped foot, and reinforced heel and toe for an extra plush feel. The socks will be available to purchase at MERGE4’s booth at Dew Tour, along with other signature socks from collaborations with Skateboard Hall of Famers like Eric Dressen, Salba, and Christian Hosoi. You can also expect to find socks with Mörizen ‘Mofo’ Föche’s iconic shots of Natas Kaupas featured in Thrasher Magazine in the late 80’s, as well as artwork by Steve Caballero. Fingers are crossed for Steve to make it to Dew Tour in the flesh to showcase his art as he recovers from a broken femur (wishing you a speedy recover, Cab!).

Presented by Mountain Dew and TEN: The Enthusiast Network, Dew Tour will be held in Long Beach, Calif. from June 13th-16th. The FREE four-day event assembles the world’s most talented professional and amateur skateboarders to compete across street and park-style courses. In addition to competition, Dew Tour features a public skatepark, craft beer, art, local food vendors, an interactive sponsor village, and live music performances by Blackillac, Destiny Rogers, Hopsin and more.

“Long Beach has produced countless legendary skaters over the years and Dew Tour is a great avenue to inspire the next generation of athletes,” says MERGE4 founder Cindi Busenhart, “We’re honored to partner with a leading force in the action sports industry.”

This year’s Dew Tour will also serve as the first ever US qualifying event for Olympic skateboarding. Not only will athletes battle it out for the coveted Dew Tour title, but also an opportunity to participate in the historical debut of men’s and women’s park and street skateboarding categories in the 2020 Tokyo Games.
