This Down Syndrome Awareness Day, MERGE4 is excited to introduce the world to Jane Evans. Jane is a feisty and strong swimmer who recently represented the USA in the Down Syndrome World Championships held in Portugal last October. She’s an inspiration to all who meet her, and she has broken down barriers in the swimming community. Let’s learn more about how Jane inspires us all!
 

Jane’s Story

Jane has been swimming since she was five years old, and her passion for it only grows with each passing year. Her coach Jarret Winter says that “Jane is a fearless, unfiltered force of nature. She motivates her team with her enthusiasm and brings out the best in her fellow teammates. They end up doing a self-assessment of their own skills and capabilities because of Jane.” It’s clear that Jane has had an immense impact on those around her, not just through her own accomplishments but also through inspiring others to reach for their goals as well.
