MERGE4 Socks: Official Sock Sponsor of the Rockstar Energy Open in Portland

The Rockstar Energy Open hit Portland, Oregon August 15-17, bringing together world-class skateboarding, live music, incredible art, and some of the best food trucks around. MERGE4 was proud to be there as the official sock sponsor of this premier skateboarding event.

MERGE4 on the Ground

• Official Sock of the Event: Every VIP bag included a pair of MERGE4 socks - making sure athletes, artists, and fans left Portland with performance and comfort on their feet.
• Our Booth: We connected with so many people throughout the weekend, and it was a highlight to see Minna Stess and Jordan Santana stop by and show support.
• Video Spotlight: A huge shout-out to photographer extraordinaire, Mark Owens, who created an awesome video for MERGE4 that played on screens throughout the event. Seeing our story and our socks shared across the venue was incredible.

Skateboarding Highlights

The competition was fierce, with skaters pushing progression all weekend:

• Men’s Street: Kairi Netsuke took the win with a powerful, technical run.
• Men’s Park: Tom Schaar came out on top with his signature style.
• Women’s Park: Mizuho Hasegawa dominated the finals and took home first.

From best trick jams to the park finals, the energy was high and the crowds never stopped cheering.

More Than Skateboarding

The Rockstar Energy Open wasn’t just about contests  it was a full cultural experience:

• Artists were live-painting throughout the venue, showcasing bold and creative work that matched the energy of the skateboarding.
• Food trucks served up Portland’s best eats  - from quick bites to full meals, everything was fresh, local, and fricken delicious.
• Music rounded out each day with high-energy performances from bands like Face to Face and The Story So Far, creating the perfect soundtrack to a packed weekend.
