MERGE4 x Santa Cruz Warriors: LET’S GOOOOOO!

There are a few things you can count on at a Santa Cruz Warriors game.

Big plays. Loud crowds. Kids hyped on cotton candy by halftime.

And absolute mayhem the second the MERGE4 sock toss starts.

The music hits, the socks come out, and suddenly the entire arena turns into organized chaos. Hands in the air. People yelling from three sections over. Kids standing on seats trying to track flying socks like they’re game-winning rebounds.

And somehow… people ALWAYS want the pair that lands one row farther away.

Honestly, we love every second of it.

There’s something ridiculously fun about watching an arena full of people get fired up over socks. Especially in Santa Cruz, where the crowd brings a little bit of everything — basketball fans, surf kids, families, students, locals, visitors, and people who probably came for one game and ended up becoming regulars.

That’s what makes Warriors games so good.

You can hear the crowd shift after a big dunk. Hear the bench explode after a deep three. Hear somebody screaming “OVER HERE!” during the sock toss from the opposite side of the arena.

MERGE4 has been proud to partner with the Santa Cruz Warriors because the organization feels connected to the community in the same way Santa Cruz does — creative, energetic, slightly chaotic in the best possible way, and full of personality.

And somehow the sock toss became its own little tradition.

Kids come ready. Parents get competitive. Full-grown adults suddenly believe they have NFL wide receiver hands.
